Byrd’s Nest Outreach, Inc. believes education is a key that unlocks the door to dreams. To ensure access and success, we will partner with local businesses that offer GED classes and test preparation, k-12 educational advocacy, and post-secondary academic advising. We prepare you to soar!
Health & Wellness
Byrd’s Nest Outreach, Inc. believes it is important to care for both the mind, body and spirit. We believe in order to function as your best self, good health should be your goal and striving to live a well-balanced life daily is the steps to achieving that goal. We will partner with local businesses that offer services designed to meet their needs in both areas. We prepare you to soar!
Interpersonal and Life Skills
Byrd’s Nest Outreach, Inc. understands the importance of communicating and interacting with others as you strive to make the most out of life. To prepare participants to soar upon exiting Byrd’s Nest, they are provided training covering related topics such as: Effective Communication, Conflict-Resolution, Budgeting, Critical Thinking, Decision Making, Self-awareness, Self-control, Empathy, Time Management, and Relationship Building. We prepare you to soar!
Job Readiness
Byrd’s Nest Outreach, Inc. believes that having the skills and capabilities that an employer is seeking is an important factor to positioning oneself to be hired. We also believe having the finances to meet their needs will lead to self-sufficiency and help rebuild their self-confidence. Job Readiness training is designed to prepare a participant to seek and obtain employment and maintain their jobs once they are hired. We will partner with community businesses to provide job readiness workshops on topics such as: Career Assessments, Resume Creation, Interviewing Skills, and Workplace Ethics. We will also establish relationships with local staffing agencies to make connections and provide our clients the opportunity to obtain employment. We prepare you to soar!
Spiritual Guidance
Byrd’s Nest Outreach, Inc, believes spiritual guidance is necessary to overcome the effects of homelessness and other life’s challenges. We meet them where they are and help them grow to where they need to be in their faith to push through the tough time, we will offer individual and group sessions, motivational monthly meetings, and spiritual growth workshops. We prepare you to soar!
